CRH Americas operates with a decentralized, diversified structure, letting you work in a small company environment while having the career opportunities of a large enterprise.SUMMARYThe Equipment Operator/General Labor position will be responsible for operating straight or articulated rubber tired tractor type vehicles equipped with front mounted hydraulically powered buckets or scoops to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage or processing areas, to feed conveyors, hoppers or chutes and to load trucks. The Equipment Operator will also operate a water truck within the facility and perform general labor duties.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMove aggregate from one area to another using a front end loader or clean up tractor.Load pit trucks or OTR trucks to maintain a good cycle time.Perform pre-shift inspection.Maintain loader area (roads, stockpile areas and berms).Operate loader in a safe manner focusing on the prevention of damage (i.e., do not spin tires, run in water or over rocks in roadways).Complete daily safety check.Roll samples for Quality Control Technicians.Perform routine maintenance on loader such as lubricating, fueling and cleaning.Other duties may be assigned.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
