What would I be doing?
Directly supervises Slot Service Specialists.
Insuring regulatory compliance at it relates to the slot department.
Ensures that our guests receive noticeably superior service every visit by monitoring and supervising the daily slot floor operation to ensure that service is delivered in a timely manner. Self-motivated in finding ways to increase the overall guest experience, and able to implement ideas with minimal involvement of superiors.
Monitors and coaches employees to deliver consistently superior interactions with our guests.
Ensures employee satisfaction by ensuring the tools and training have been provided to properly perform specific job responsibilities.
Balances the need for prompt guest service with the need for security of funds. Makes sound decisions, balancing both of these factors.
Possesses a thorough working knowledge of the various types of slot machines, their functions, malfunctions and pay out schedules.
Possesses knowledge of the Indiana Gaming Regulations, the property and department Internal Controls, and all other applicable regulations, including Title 31 Currency Reporting standards. Ensures that all personnel maintain and support these rules and regulations.
Routinely strives to build and maintain relationship with our player base, handling guest disputes in a professional manner and ensuring that guest recognition tools are used to expand the number of loyal players.
Monitors the proper and complete transaction of jackpot and hopper transactions, investigates and corrects discrepancies when necessary.
Observes and verifies taxable jackpots to ensure accuracy of funds and paperwork. Uses these situations to build guest loyalty by celebrating wins.
Acts as a liaison between other departments to ensure the overall satisfaction of our guests. Closely works with Customer Safety and Cashiering to provide a seamless integration of service between departments.
Is aware of current slot cheating methods. Detects and prevents attempts to cheat slot machines and utilizes surveillance and security department to validate cheating attempts and apprehend those responsible.
Works closely with Customer Safety and Risk Management to protect the safety and well being of our employees and guests.
Acts as a role model and presents oneself as a credit to Ameristar and encourages others to do the same. Explains and supports management decisions to employees.
Adheres to all company, regulatory and department policies and procedures.
What are we looking for?
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
Previous experience in customer service management preferred.
Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Ability to interact with others in stressful situations with tact and professionalism.
Experience delivering customer service in a dynamic / high volume setting required.
Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
High school diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.
Three to five years in gaming industry in a leadership position preferably casino operations.
