Provide management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts and preparing financial statements. The right individual will assume the responsibility of the integrity of plant financial reporting and internal controls, provide real-time and projected results, and guidance on operational and sales opportunities.
Reports directly to Group Controller
Prepares consolidated internal plant financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.
Analyzes information within the financial statements and completes schedules that support account balances.
Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts; reclassifying account balances.
Prepares various expense accruals and supporting schedules.
Reconcile monthly activity in fixed asset accounts and compile documents to support asset balances. Verify lives and methods are accurate and assets are capitalized in accordance with Company capitalization policies.
Track large capital projects and ensure accurate coding

In addition to handling the monthly close process, will also be expected to prepare real-time and predictive results for evaluation and planning
Assist in periodic physical inventories, generally involving set-up of inventory tags within the system, variance support and posting of final physical inventory figures.
Summarization of monthly cycle counting results at the plant level.
Responsible for ensuring material costs and inventory values are accurate and that the system is tracking costs properly.
Provides support for mergers and acquisitions by reviewing financial information and providing support in the due diligence stage.
Consistently demonstrates leadership amongst peers and receives positive feedback from the accounting & operation groups.
Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications to gain advanced industry knowledge; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

B.S. in Accounting, Finance or Business. MBA or CPA preferred.
3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance in a manufacturing environment is preferred, not required.
Experience with Dynamics 365 a plus.
Strong Excel skills
Experience operating within a SOX compliant environment.
Ability to comprehend broad business issues and accomplish objectives through others.
Leadership skills and analytical decision making.

Communicates with management, Team Members, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information and take instructions. Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system. Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails. Prepare agendas for meetings and prepare schedules. Record, compile, transcribe and distribute minutes of meetings.
Local travel is expected for this position, along with some occasional long distance travel
