Ascension St. Vincent Evansville is developing a new Critical Care Transport team to serve our Tri-State area! This team will be Critical Care staff featuring a mixture of Registered Nurses, Paramedics, and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT). This specialized team will be responsible for the transportation of critically ill patients from a facility where the patient’s needs exceed available resources to a facility that can meet their needs, while maintaining a specialized level of care.

What You Will Do
Drive an ambulance to transport ill or injured patients to the appropriate facility while also performing duties of an EMT.
Ensure safe transportation of ill or injured patients.
Maintain ambulance in clean condition and working order. Perform regular routine inspections prior to each shift to ensure safe operation of the vehicle.
Assist with stocking the ambulance with needed supplies and ensure on-board equipment is in working order.
Perform the duties of an EMT or Paramedic, depending on qualifications, as needed.
What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Illinois Department of Public Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Must obtain a temporary or unlimited EMT License from Illinois prior to providing patient care in those states. Unlimited licensure must be obtained within 6 months of CCT program obtaining program licensure in those states.
Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Service obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Must obtain a temporary or unlimited EMT License fromKentucky prior to providing patient care in those states. Unlimited licensure must be obtained within 6 months of CCT program obtaining program licensure in those states.
Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
Three years of experience in Emergency Medical Services required.
Five years of experience in Emergency Medical Services preferred.
