Patient Care Technician (PCT) - Medical Surgical Post Surgical Unit

  • Location : Ascension St. Vincent, Main Campus, Evansville, IN

  • Unit : 5 South

  • Full Time (36 hours per week | 12 hour shifts)

    The Patient Care Technician performs basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision..

What You Will Do

Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Aid with movement and placement of patients.

  • Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.

  • Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Document necessary records.

  • Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintain medical equipment.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
