What You Will Do

Provide evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies consistent with student scope of practice.

  • Administer medications and treatments based on patient outcomes, under appropriate supervision.

  • Deliver and assess patient response to ordered therapy.

  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition.

  • Provide patient education for diseases, medications, and treatment.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross Professional CPR/AED Rescuer accepted during onboarding.

  • Temporary Permit Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Or Student Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED required.

  • Enrolled in degreed program specific to discipline required.
