OneMain Financial Technical Lead – Web Applications / Microservices in Evansville, Indiana

We are looking for a Technical Lead to join our team in Evansville, IN. You'll work with our design and engineering teams to plan, design, and develop our web and mobile apps.

About you

You'll work as part of an agile development team to create web and mobile applications at the leading edge of digital lending. You will innovate, adapt, and build lasting and scalable solutions from scratch.

What you will do

  • Provide overall vision for technical direction and goals while ensuring technical excellence for a software engineering team

  • Lead a team of developers across projects utilizing Angular, Node, OpenShift, and mobile technologies while utilizing Agile principals

  • Work closely with engineering teams and business units to fulfill organizational projects and delivery commitments

  • Perform complex application programming activities in the latest technologies: Angular, Typescript, Node, Java

  • Create applications that are scalable and resilient in a microservices architecture

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Designers, and other developers on different permutations to find the best solution possible.

  • Manage the careers of the engineers on your team and ensure their continued growth and development.

  • Inspire junior engineers to push the boundaries of technology alongside of you.

Position & Skill Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience leading and developing technical teams

  • At least 2 years of experience recruiting and managing people

  • At least 4 years of experience designing, developing and delivering web applications

  • At least 2 years of experience developing microservices

  • At least 3 years of experience developing or delivering REST web services

  • At least 3 years of experience developing responsive frontend web applications using HTML 5, CSS 3 and JavaScript

Preferred Requirements and Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience with single page web application technologies including Angular, React, Ember or Node

  • At least 2 years of experience with OpenShift

  • At least 2 years of experience with Agile development methodologies including Scrum or Kanban

  • At least 2 years of experience developing in an Enterprise setting
