Goddard School Infant/Toddler Teacher in Fishers, Indiana

The Goddard School of Carmel/Westfield, an early childhood education center, is currently seeking qualified Lead and Assistant Teachers for our Infant and Toddler programs.

The Goddard School is a program with a FLEX based foundation that continues to set the standard for excellence. The focus of the program is to provide a life-long love of learning. Our staff is made of loving and dedicated teachers who understand each child's needs and create unique lesson plans that are brought to life in a fun and imaginative way.

Lead Teacher daily responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Developing and implementing lesson plans -Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment -Adapt program to meet the individual needs of each child -Manage classrooms according to Goddard's industry-leading Quality Assurance standards -Plan and implement activities to develop children's self-esteem and social skills -Interact with the children to support play, exploration and learning -Communicate, in a professional manner, with families and faculty -Build teamwork -Attend faculty meetings, in-service days, conferences and professional growth opportunities

Lead Teacher Qualifications: -CDA, Associates or BA in Early Childhood Education or related field -Prior classroom experience preferred -Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices -Strong written and communication skills

Our Assistant Teacher Daily Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Implementing lesson plans
  • Meeting the individual needs of the children- diapers, feeding, ect
  • Effectively and professionally communicating to Parents and fellow staff members
  • Participating in staff meetings and training events
  • Designing an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom
  • Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning
  • Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level
  • Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem, intellectual stimulation, and social skills
  • Building teamwork
  • Using written assessment tools Assistant Teacher Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Prior experience preferred
  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • Strong written and communications skills
