Description

The Plant Sr. Cost Accountant is a key leader on the plant leadership team. Contributes to all areas of plant management and provide strong financial leadership. This role is

responsible for planning and coordinating plant budget and business planning activities in alignment with corporate policies and practices. The incumbent will provide financial

direction to the plant and provide recommendations to improve site performance. Define activity-wise manufacturing and product costs. Estimate your BOM based on actual requirements

Find opportunities to control cost across production processes, assess the capacity of machines and other expenses, in detail. Analyze costs and trends accurately, track work order-wise costs incurred against standard costs. Track cost over-runs and provide timely advice to functional heads.

Analyze variances and communicates explanations to management with

recommended actions

• Prepare forecasts of income statement, balance sheets, and statement of cash

flows for the Plant

• Must work across organization boundaries and all levels of the company to

achieve plant, country or corporate objectives

• Integrates and trains new staff while leading the continued professional

development of the existing team

• Shares best practices across global finance team, e.g. process improvements,

financial modeling and procedures changes

• Provides proactive / unsolicited consultation, interpretation and education of

complex financial and operational matters to various departmental leaders used to

drive business decisions

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

Strong ERP and 5+ year manufacturing leadership experience with strong cost accounting knowledge a must

Advanced Excel preferred
