Hard Rock International MANAGER - FACILITIES in Gary, Indiana
Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Facilities, the incumbent is responsible for the organization, supervision, and general management of the daily operations, repairs and preventative maintenance activities of the general maintenance repair unit at both on and off site locations.

Supervise, schedule and administer all personnel actions for multi-skilled trades-people.
Plan, implement, and coordinate a variety of projects simultaneously, including troubleshooting, contractor liaison, and estimating, forecasting and budgeting responsibilities.
Monitor status and costs of projects while ensuring completion in a timely manner.
Perform routine field inspections on-site and at several off-site locations.
Prepare technical reports and maintains logbooks as required.
Maintain and apply knowledge of applicable fire, health, safety, and environmental standards as well as relevant state, local, and national codes.
Coordinate maintenance and modification projects with appropriate department head to ensure minimal guest interruption.
Instructs and trains others as appropriate.
Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
Promote positive employer/public relations at all times.
Interact with internal departments as appropriate.
Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
In conjunction with directors, managers and shift supervisors, conducts detailed public area inspections to ensure adherence to quality and production standards and to identify problems.
React in a timely manner to emergency situations. Resolves guest issues to ensure total customer satisfaction.
Participates in the development and reconciliation of departmental operating and capital budgets.
Performs all other duties as assigned and adheres to all Indiana Gaming Regulations and Departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Attend seminars when needed.
This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through a High School Diploma, Trade School Certificate or Associate Degree preferred. 1 to 3 years of experience in Commercial / Industrial Facilities Maintenance and/or Housekeeping, and Janitorial Supervisory experience is preferred. 1 to 3 years of experience in a Hospitality/Gaming environment is preferred. Tow Motor license and Lift Truck Certification is preferred.
