Study Technician Animal Pathology -Greenfield Indiana Locaiton

We have a great opportunity for a Study Technician (Research Assistant) in our Pathology Department at our Greenfield, IN lab. Covance’s work in developing new pharmaceutical solutions has an incredible impact on millions of lives worldwide. In this role, you will perform basic necropsy or histology tasks on a variety of laboratory animals in compliance with the appropriate SOPs, GLPs, and regulatory guidelines. You will also monitor animal health and welfare in compliance with the Animal Health and Welfare Act and help maintain facilities for AAALAC compliance.

Extensive training is provided, starting pay rate for candidates new to this field is $15.00 per hour

Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays as needed along with overtime

Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Life Sciences, Associate degree in Laboratory Animal Technology or Associate degree in Veterinary Technology.

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education.

  • AALAS certification at the Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician level is preferred, but not required.

  • No experience is required if you meet the education requirements.

  • 0-2 years of related external experience based on education.

  • A minimum of 6 months experience as a Study Tech Trainee while employed at Covance, or a minimum of two years of related experience may be substituted for education requirements
