OBJECTIVE (broad function, scope and purpose for the position)To assist in the day to day processes in the warehouse and quality, ensuring customers receive quality products on time as requested.BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION (outline job duties and responsibilities):Identify all safety risks and act immediatelyFollow Standard Inspection Procedures (SIP) and inspection instructions to determine whether inbound goods meet business and regulatory requirementsPerform visual inspections of parts for conformance to specifications and report deficienciesReview certificates to ensure regulatory, business and customer requirements are met and secure corrections or justifications when deficiencies are found.Use calibrated metrology equipment to measure parts against the tolerances listed within blueprints.Report supplier deviations and work with Order Support to disposition inbound goods that fail inspections.Inspect outbound quality orders for accuracy and ensure all customer and regulatory demands are met.Report outbound quality order issues promptly and work with Order Support to resolve order issues.Inspect and approve customer returns, ensure the correct part is received in new or like-new condition for resale and restock appropriately.Perform visual inspections of parts for conformance to specificationsCreate and/or support set up of quality documents (SOP, SIP, Q-DOC, PPAP)Review, compile and complete documentation needed to support customers ordersManage the non-inventory locations for the quality departmentPerform stock inspection and investigation activities for claims and quality related issuesSupport and lead ALPS Continuous Improvement activitiesPerform other duties and responsibilities as assignedORGANIZATIONAL COMPONENTS (level of functional responsibility, relationships, level of direction received, and ability to initiate work):Reports to the Quality ManagerInteracts with Office, Warehouse, Suppliers, and other Internal Alfa Laval MembersKEY PERFORMANCE MEASURESo SafetyParticipate in all required safety trainingNo Lost Time Incidents (LTI)o QualityComplete and Correct DocumentationNo Quality Related Customer Claimso DeliveryOn-Time InspectionEnsure all customer requests of documentation are readily available for Quality Hold Orderso CostMaintain positive cost flexReduce, reuse, recycleKEY COMPETENCIES NEEDEDAble to organize and coordinate multiple tasks and activities.Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.Proficient in the use of Warehouse Management SystemsAble to identify and resolve problems based on knowledge and analysis of data.Proficient in the use of metrology equipment (i.e. calipers, micrometers, etc.)EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION DESIREDEducation (degree or years) and/or Certification/Registration:High School Diploma or equivalentType and Length of Experience:o 2 - 4 years of warehouse experience and/or 2 - 4 years of quality control experienceKnowledge, Skills, Abilities and Attributes Desired in Candidate:o Communication: Ability to process verbal and written information quickly using solution-solving vocabulary to resolve conflictso Deadline driven: Has a sense of urgency, is proactive, possessing excellent interpersonal skills, a professional attitude, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environmento Other attributes including: Attention to detail, and the ability to respond to rapidly changing priorities and deal with multiple demands, good organizational and follow-up skillso Ability to interpret drawings and specificationsPHYSICAL and ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORSPhysical Requirements (lifting, climbing, standing, equipment use):o Ability to lift 60 pounds occasionallyo Certified Equipment operation (Forklift, Order Picker, Turret Truck)o Ability to stand for majority of the workdayEnvironmental Factors (hazardous materials, work location, work surfaces, exposure):o Some hazardous material handling requiredEEO/Vet/Disabled EmployerEqual Opportunity Employerminori
