You will be leading the efforts of supporting the office by taking on various office and administrative tasks as an Administrative Assistant. This Administrative Assistant role is a long term temporary-to-full time opportunity and is located in the Indianapolis, Indiana area.

  • Serves as host/hostess for the Executive Director visitors, manages calls in a professional manner and assures appropriate follow through; maintains Executive Director calendar and scheduling.

  • Takes initiative to manage written, electronic, and personal inquiries to the Executive Director, to compose responses

  • Corresponds with volunteers and staff in response to requests for information and assistance; conducts research and compiles information as required.

  • Assists in distributing communication from Executive Director to the organization.

  • Manages details of planning special events and programs hosted by the Executive Director and assists with scripting and document preparation as required.


  • Solid computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software.

  • At least 2 years of Administrative Assistant experience preferred

  • Strong communication skills

  • Documentation experience preferred

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Correspondence and drafting experience highly valued

  • Demonstrated knowledge of presentation preparation

  • Hands-on experience with booking travel for executives
