Position Description:

We are seeking a Training Senior Lead to join our Adoption, Communications and Training (ACT) team. We collaborate with cross-functional teams at Salesforce to ensure that technology solutions roll out successfully and in a sustainable way.

In this position you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing training development efforts to ensure the successful delivery of training deliverables for a project. Key to this role, is your ability to build relationships, apply critical thinking and take the initiative to drive results. As a successful Training Senior Lead, you will use your knowledge and experience of training design and development to oversee the production of high quality, high impact deliverables to ensure a positive end user experience.

Here’s what you’ll be doing

  • Reviewing technical and functional documents and working closely with system subject matter experts to understand key system concepts, terms, and processes

  • Owning development of the training strategy, plan, curriculum and approach for projects and initiatives

  • Leading development of training needs assessment and execution of project training plan

  • Leading the development of visually appealing, high impact and quality training content across a range of modalities (e-Learning, classroom-based initiatives etc)

  • Owning overall training plan for projects and initiatives that include one or more tracks and development of multiple deliverables at the same time

  • Defining adoption metrics/KPIs for learning content and supporting effectiveness tracking and reporting

  • Analyzing metrics to measure effectiveness of training activities for a particular project

  • Designing, building and maintaining dashboards that track adoption metrics, enhance portfolio management, and present insightful representations of data

  • Maintaining and managing senior stakeholder relationships relating to training requirements for a particular project

  • Using Salesforce and/or business analytics tools to support with reporting efforts

Here’s what we’re seeking:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) OR Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree

  • 7+ years Technical or Functional Instructional Design and Content Development experience, focused on training content

  • Strong understanding of multiple training methodologies

  • Strong understanding of latest training industry developments, innovations, and techniques

  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholder viewpoints and priorities and collaborate cross-functionally

  • Attention to detail, proof reading, and writing in a user-friendly manner

  • Ability to create and collaborate in a virtual environment, including extensive use of video conferencing tools

Other desirable experience:

  • Experience in software or high-tech

  • Experience using Salesforce applications

  • Experience and knowledge of at least 2-3 training development tools

  • Experience in the following areas:

  • Building training needs assessments, developing training plans and training curricula, and/or conducting classroom training

  • Use of e-Learning systems

  • Use of Video to build training materials

  • Use of Learning Management Systems for publishing e-Learning content

  • Use of email marketing automation systems (Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar applications) and tracking of effectiveness

  • HTML expertise
