The global mobility consultant is responsible for Lilly’s International Mobility Programs including fiduciary and strategic business ownership impacting hundreds of employees and their families each year. In this role, you will be responsible for the following key elements: strategic partnership with the business and HR, International Service Employee program (ISE) and Short Term Assignment (STA) oversight, strategy and design. You will deliver a positive customer experience through thoughtful program management, operational excellence and continuous improvement, and vendor management, including finance processes. As the main point of contact for these programs, you will network across a broad array of partners, including internal and external Mobility peers, US and International HR business partners, finance, corporate tax, line management, and various vendors.

Key Objectives/Deliverables

  1. Provide direction and consultation to HR business partners and line management on philosophy and use of the mobility programs.

  2. Oversee day-to-day operations of International Mobility programs administered by outsourced provider; ensure compliance with service level agreements; ensure delivery of services is efficient and transparent resulting in high satisfaction with assignees; research and resolve complex issues and ensure root cause is determined with appropriate action plans put in place.

  3. Provide education to the outsourced Relocation Services Provider on Lilly’s purpose, culture, values and overall mobility program philosophy; ensure common understanding of our policy elements.

  4. Keep up to date on the mobility external market and trends through reviewing information provided via outsourced provider, networking with external peers and conducting formal benchmarking. Influence program changes to ensure they are market competitive, compliant and affordable. Lead and implement change management initiatives.

  5. Drive continuous improvement of the ISE & STA processes – troubleshoot and resolve issues; identify challenges and implement ideas for simplifying and streamlining the process.

  6. Ensure our programs are inclusive of a diverse workforce.

  7. Administer ISE compensation & centralized billing processes – respond to inquiries from international assignees, global affiliates and/or vendor; review and approve all ISE pay packages created by vendor prior to distribution to global affiliates and international assignees; ensure monthly payroll reconciliation is completed for all home and host countries. Provide compensation data to outsourced provider for creation of ISE pay packages. Manage the centralized billing process and have general oversight of mobility billing processes.
