Ascension Health Donor Communications & Stewardship Specialist in Indianapolis, Indiana

We Are Hiring

40+ hours/week; flexibility to attend meetings and events outside of normal work hours is required.

What You Will Do

Participate in fundraising campaigns, grant administration, major gift and/or charitable development programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement strategies to meet fundraising goals

  • Strategize on donor engagement and provide creative solutions to enhance the relationship of our supporters

  • Manage and develop the direct mail program efforts statewide, including creating content and timelines, determining appropriate target audiences, coordinating with design and printing vendors, and analyzing results

  • Develop and maintain Foundation communications schedule for Central Indiana, including personalized, multi-channel tactics; manage Foundation communications schedule statewide to identify opportunities to partner on communications and ensure communications do not overlap

  • Develop and manage content and designs for Foundation websites statewide, and build all online giving forms

  • Manage and grow Foundation social media presence and accounts for Central Indiana

  • Develop and execute opportunities for web based, online and e-solicitation fundraising initiatives, such as #GivingTuesdayCreate and deploy all Foundation e-communications statewide

  • Oversee and work with designer as appropriate to create Foundation collateral and marketing pieces

  • Create, manage and execute stewardship efforts for donors by finding new and creative ways to share how their contributions are being used and building relationships with hospital representatives to identify stories to share on an ongoing basis

  • Organize and prepare donor print newsletters and annual reports for Central Indiana

  • Write and refresh acknowledgement letters and stewardship materials on a regular basis

  • Work with Foundation Board of Directors and manage the Donor Communications and Stewardship Committee

  • Collect and organize all photos, videos and other collateral for Foundation communication purposes

  • Serve as Foundation liaison to Ascension St. Vincent marketing department; understand ensure Foundation staff follows appropriate marketing processes, procedures and guidelines

  • Oversee budget and timelines for assigned areas, ensuring deadlines are met

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Certification specializing in Fund Raising preferred.

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.

Work Experience:

  • 3 years of experience preferred.
