Ascension Health Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist - EEG - Full Time Nights in Indianapolis, Indiana

What You Will Do

Perform electroneurodiagnostic testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform set up and preparation of equipment/supplies for ordered test.

  • Review patient's history, obtains any necessary information or documentation and provide education to patient about procedures. Monitor and document patient's condition at all times and reports any adverse reactions.

  • Operate and maintain a variety of equipment to obtain diagnostic data, which may include EEG (Electroencephalography), EP (Evoked Potential), and PSG (Polysomnography) equipment. Recognize and correct for artifacts.

  • Score/graph, document and report results of diagnostic procedures.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.

  • Electroencephalographic Technician credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) preferred.

  • Technologist specializing in Nerve Conduction Study credentialed from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) preferred.

  • Technologist specializing in Nerve Conduction Study credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) preferred.

  • Technologist specializing in Neurophysiologic Intraop Monit credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) preferred.

  • Technologist specializing in Evoked Potential credentialed from the ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing & Accreditation (ABRET) preferred.

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
