Acadia Healthcare Housekeeper in Indianapolis, Indiana
Reports to: Director of Environmental Services
Maintains the proper cleanliness of the facility, performs extensive custodial work including the responsibility for keeping residents areas clean and sanitary at all times. Must have knowledge of infection control practices that are in compliance with regulatory standards. Specific conditions of position: Must be able to complete physical requirements of position, must be able to work with potentially hazardous products.
Works as an hourly employee in accordance with established policies as outlined in the employee handbook. The employee in this position is expected to give two weeks notice prior to voluntary resignation. A probationary period of 90 days is required.
Good knowledge of modern institutional housekeeping practices and cleaning materials.
Good knowledge of sanitation techniques.
Ability to read and write simple correspondence.
Ability to follow oral and written instruction.
High School diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum 21 years of age.

Must possess strength, stamina and mobility to perform custodial work.
Frequently exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and hazardous chemicals.
May have some exposure to communicable/infectious diseases.
May be exposed to excessive dust, mold, or mildew.
Ability to read printed materials.
Ability to communicate in person, over the telephone and/or radio.
Ability to work assigned hours per week.
Ability to walk and stand, for long periods of time.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, twist, push, pull, stoop, crouch, crawl, squat and kneel.
