Position Overview

The Lilly Professional Apprenticeship Program is a 12-month intensive fixed duration (FDE) professional development program during which the apprentice receives a combination of formal training, on-the-job learning, and mentoring in a key functional area to be equipped to compete for a Lilly position after successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Responsibilit y Statement

The primary responsibility of the Workforce Productivity Services (WPS) IT Asset Management Apprentice is to work with Lilly and contract team members executing defined processes. These processes are intended to track Lilly client computing and iOS assets. Asset tracking is a critical process as it relates to security of confidential/proprietary information as well as financial controls. This role is designed to help with operational oversight globally of asset processes provided by external service provider, audit processes to ensure proper use, and assist in special projects related to improving controls of Lilly business computers. The Asset Management Apprentice will be hands in assisting with the monitoring/updating asset tracking processes as well as helping to oversee the work of third-party suppliers responsible for execution of our asset management system. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop understanding ofAsset Managementprocesses

  • Understand / improve currentinventoryapproaches

  • Build relationship with all resourcesinvolved in asset management (globally)

  • Identify missing assets and work with the vendor/affiliateto locate/update status of such devices

Basic Qualifications

Requirements:

HS Diploma or Equivalent and 3 or more years of related or professional experience. Proven experience with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Additional Skills/Preferences

Desired Experience :

  • At least 1 year of college and/or associate degree in a related field.

  • Preferred background in IT

  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work well in a team environment

  • Strong organizing/multi-tasking skills andmeticulousattention to detail

  • Learning agility and self-management skillsStrong research and analytical skills
