About this position:
The Finance & Strategy (F&S) team serves as a trusted advisor to the business to help inform and guide decision making through business partner support and innovative & insightful analyses. We are looking for bright, goal-oriented individuals who will succeed in a fast-paced environment and thrive in building and improving processes that will allow the company to scale with growth.
As a Manager, you will play an integral part on the F&S team supporting Salesforce.org. This role is based in San Francisco/Indianapolis and will report to the Director of F&S. This role will act as a finance business partner for the Salesforce.org Technology and Products organization and Salesforce.org Corporate Finance, interacting with senior management and key decision makers to provide guidance on financial and operational matters.
Manage the budgets and reporting for Salesforce.org’s Technology and Products Organization to SVP/EVP level business partners. Own the tactical day-to-day financial and budget approval responsibilities for these functions.
Manage budgeting and financial planning & reporting for these areas, including annual planning, quarterly outlooks and month end processes
Finance Lead on the Salesforce.org New Product Introduction process, including ROI analysis, margin analysis, revenue modeling and forecasting
Own and improve various consolidated financial models to support P&L forecasting, margin management and scenario planning
Manage monthly close processes, management reporting and analytics, as well as headcount monitoring and reporting
Support business unit-wide headcount reporting and reconciliation, as needed
Support global consolidation of the business unit P&L while building collaborative working relationships across the team, as needed
Assist in developing and preparing Quarterly Outlooks, Annual Plans and Long Range Plans
Develop/improve repeatable business, operational and financial processes that are widely understood by all key stakeholders
Assist in other ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests
Develop cross functional relationships with key business partners
Bachelor's degree required; CPA or MBA preferred
8+ years of work experience in FP&A or business finance
Experience building sophisticated, dynamic financial models; high level of comfort manipulating large data sets
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with an ability to explain complex issues in an understandable way
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment
Ability to work cross functionally and an ability to influence at all levels within the organization
Intellectual curiosity, fueled by a proactive approach to continuously expand one’s skillset. Highly motivated, self-aware, collaborative, and responsive.
Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Hyperion, Oracle, Business Objects, or other BI tools. Workday HCM and Salesforce CRM a plus.
