The Human Resource M&A Team is hiring for two openings.

Both Job Descriptions are listed below in the following order:

1. Manager, HR M&A Integration

2. Sr Manager, HR M&A

HR M&A Integration Manager

Salesforce, the leading enterprise cloud computing company, is looking for an Integration Manager to join the Human Resources M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions) team. This role provides support for Salesforce acquisitions and will bring change management expertise, program innovation and delivery excellence to the team. The HR M&A Manager will bring broad HR and consultative expertise to support our deal and integration leads with overall program and specific integration activities.

The HR M&A team focuses specifically on areas such as: change management, employee onboarding & enablement, integration communications, reporting and project management, employee data management, organization design, job mapping, and employment packages. The person in this role will help shape the overall HR integration strategy and will be a Salesforce ambassador for acquired employees to support a successful integration.

The role works with a team of HR functional specialists and diverse partners to complete integration milestones and activities, with the focus on delivering an engaging and inspiring acquired employee experience that helps achieve acquisition objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the advancement of Salesforce's HR M&A best-in-class program by developing a deep-expertise focused on HR change management for our integration programs

  • Hone HR M&A change management strategies and philosophies to align with company and team objectives and priorities

  • Develop and partner on repeatable approaches, tools, and templates to accelerate and scale change management activities

  • Partner and engage with other embedded Salesforce change management capabilities with partner organizations (i.e., HR communications teams, Corporate Development teams, functional enablement teams) maximize collaboration and efficiency.

  • Document and deliver on HR integration change impacts (includes completing a change impact assessment, change needs analysis, and design and delivery of change initiatives)

  • Identify and action on ideas and opportunities to drive continuous improvement in all aspects of change management innovation and capability

  • Partner deeply within the HR M&A team (Deal Leads, Integration Managers and Analysts) on HR acquisition milestones and programs from due diligence through employee onboarding and integration.

  • Apply HR knowledge and experience to design, develop, and deliver key integration deliverables, including diligence reports, integration plans, management presentations, onboarding materials, and employee communications.

  • Depending on deal volume and complexity, may focus on one or more concurrent deals, or multiple integration tracks within a larger deal.

  • Help manage infrastructure support and related tools for the HR M&A team, including integration playbook, offer templates, reporting, and budgets.

  • Work on process improvement projects. Partner with HR & cross-functional teams in developing and evolving our HR M&A playbook.

  • Identify and advise on opportunities, risks, and trends related to HR M&A while developing action plans to help us continuously improve and evolve our integration approach.

Equally adept at building and presenting compelling presentations for executives as writing detailed materials for employees. Able to distill complex data and details to extract and articulate insights and translate them into audience appropriate messages. Strong editing skills.

  • Flexible and adaptable: Able to work in ambiguous M&A environment. Self-starter and high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand. Exercises flexibility in work approach to address evolving needs of stakeholders.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree — advanced degree in organizational behavior/communications, or a change management certifications are a plus.

  • 5-7 years of experience in consulting, change management, communications and/or HR.

  • Proven track record of managing enterprise-wide, transformational, and multi disciplinary change initiatives

  • Proficiency of change management principles, methodologies, tools and innovative, and best practices

  • Basic understanding of M&A including acquisition lifecycle, integration planning, and strategic considerations.

HR M&A Senior Manager

Salesforce, the leading enterprise cloud computing company, is looking for a Senior Manager, Integration Programs to join the Human Resources M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions) team. This role designs programs and practices for Salesforce acquisitions and will bring an innovative mindset and delivery excellence to the team. The HR M&A Senior Manager will bring HR M&A integration experience to support our deal and integration leads with overall program development and integration expertise.

The HR M&A team focuses specifically on areas such as: change management, employee onboarding & enablement, integration communications, reporting and project management, employee data management, organization design, job mapping, and employment packages. The person in this role will help design best-in-class HR M&A integration programs that will be delivered for acquired employees.

The role works with a team of HR M&A integration specialists and diverse partners to design and develop best-in-class HR M&A programs and processes. The employee will have a focus on delivering an engaging and inspiring acquired employee experience that helps achieve acquisition objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply HR M&A Integration knowledge and experience to design, develop, and deliver key global integration programs, management presentations, onboarding materials, and employee communications.

  • Establish deep partnerships with HR functional experts (i.e., HRBPs, benefits, compensation, etc.) to design leading HR integration programs in coordination with our extended team members.

  • Create compelling presentations and stories through presentation design. Highly skilled at developing and designing presentations for various audiences (executives, managers, employees).

  • Practices and understands a design-thinking mindset in order to deeply understand acquired employees’ challenges and unique perspectives.

  • Consistently thinks about how to scale, work smarter and design acquisition specific process and programs that can be globalized but localized when appropriate.

  • Partner with a virtual and extended HR integration team to ensure integration programs are delivered consistently across the globe, in compliance with local processes and policies, and with a focus on delivering a seamless and engaging employee experience.

  • Work on process improvement projects. Partner with HR & cross-functional teams in developing and evolving our HR M&A playbook.

  • Identify and advise on opportunities, risks, and trends related to HR M&A while developing action plans to help us continuously improve and evolve our integration approach.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field

  • Minimum 7-10 years relevant work experience, ideally as an HR business partner or with expertise in two or more areas of HR: compensation, benefits, operations, recruiting, talent development, change management, or communications/engagement

  • 5+ years experience in mergers & acquisitions preferred
