Anthem is looking for a data strategy team leader who is passionate about finding innovative ways to connect and blend HR data to support high-quality data-driven HR decision making. This role leads a team of data strategists and engineers to determine the optimal HR data infrastructure to connect data from various sources and to enable analytics and surface relevant insights. This role will be a critical partner and leader in Anthem’s upcoming implementation of a new cloud human capital management (HCM) system. As part of the HCM integration, the leader will facilitate data, reporting and analytics needs for all HR business processes to ensure successful integration of data as well as best in class reporting and analytics. The candidate will also lead data science and analytics work including text analytics, AI and augmented analytics using advanced data analytics tools.

Manager Talent Insights (People Analytics)
The preferred location for this position is Indianapolis, IN, Mason OH
or Atlanta, GA but all other locations will be considered
The Manager Talent Insights is responsible for leading a team of data strategists and engineers to develop and execute an integrated HR data strategy. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Develops, implements and evolves an overall HR data and technology strategy and roadmap to ensure people analytics deliverables are robust, relevant, efficient and secure.
Engages a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders to achieve commitment and buy-in to implementation of data and analytics initiatives.
Leads data governance and partners with stakeholders to resolve data issues and business processes.
Prioritizes and aligns goals and resources to focus on the most critical projects and tasks.
Advises on evolving data architecture needs and emerging knowledge/skill sets required for success.
Builds analytical capability and perspectives across HR by coaching and enabling partners with technology and training.
Hires, trains, coaches, counsels and evaluates performance of direct reports.
Role Specific Responsibilities
Lead data, reporting and analytics strategy across all HR processes to support large-scale HCM system implementation and future HR data strategy roadmap.
Lead team of data engineers and data scientists to leverage best-in-class data and analytics solutions to support HR analytics deliverables.
Develop a data and technology strategy and roadmap to integrate, transform and blend HR data to support automated analytics deliverables.
Partner with internal data and analytics teams, HR operations, IT architecture, Enterprise Analytics and others to develop and implement data roadmap.
Collaborate with vendors and internal partners to address and resolve firewall, data security and data integration challenges.
Fully leverage various data tools, solutions and platforms, such as: REST API, SFTP, Alteryx, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Python.
Lead text analytics and sentiment analysis strategy using robust associate sentiment data.
Partner with HRIS and COE business process owners on data governance and data standards to ensure HR data is accurate, complete and secure.
Lead data automation efforts by staying abreast of latest data tools and approaches and providing guidance relative to data engineering and automation practices.
Partner with all members of the Talent Insights team to provide business intelligence solutions to support ad hoc data projects, visualization, survey dashboards, etc. to HRBP, HR COE and Leader customers
Requires BA/BS in HR, Business Administration, or Analytics related field and 7-10 years’ related experience in human capital analytics, including 5 years managing analytical teams and/or HR shared services areas focused on enabling clients with data and insights, or any combination of experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Masters with emphasis in data science preferred.
Preferred knowledge of Oracle and/or Workday human capital management systems and cloud-based data warehousing and analytics tools, such as AWS, Alteryx, SFTP, API, Python and R.
Data engineering and/or data management experience preferred.
Large HCM systems (Workday, Oracle, etc.) integration experience preferred.
HR Data Analysis and HR systems experience preferred.
