Aerotek Packaging Technician - 2nd Shift in Indianapolis, Indiana

Description:

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the proper assembly, labeling, and quality of clinical supplies following the batch paperwork. The temporary packaging technician is required to follow all applicable standard operating procedures and supervisory instructions to ensure compliance with customer specifications and cGMPS’s. This position is for employees who are capable of performing most phases of clinical packaging but still require supervision in some areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: • Reviews batch paperwork and instructions to understand and perform packaging procedures required for assembly of each clinical study. • Cleans packaging rooms and machinery as needed (Clean room env.) • Performs manual and automated filling and packaging of blistered and bottled pharmaceutical products independently... while approving labeling and checking quality of the process. • Performs and ensures proper labeling and drug placement using various secondary sealing machinery. • Accepts or rejects in-process clinical supplies according to acceptability standards determined by GMP, customer requirements, and SOP. • Labels and assembles both blinded (following a randomization schedule) and open clinical supplies ensuring proper label placement. • Accurately counts out and prepares packages (pill bottles, syringe packs) to ensure proper packaging. • Performs final check of work in-process and finished products and then packs goods into appropriately labeled containers/boxes. • Assists in staging and reconciliation of components as required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVE: 1. High School Diploma OR GED 2. Minimum of 6 months in a manufacturing or production-type setting. 3. Great Attn to Detail - A mistake on a label/packaging could mean life or death in this industry. Quality mistakes are unacceptable

We are looking for someone that has worked in production toward a goal, not just picked or packed boxed. Someone with Covance experience could be good.

The ideal person has worked in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
