Senior Planner Phase Manager

As we grow, we are seeking a highly motivated Senior Planner Phase Manager for our growing Aviation Practice for aviation-specific administration, environmental and planning work.

The ideal candidates will be recognized as those whom have either obtained an accredited college or university degree with a BS or BA in Planning, Civil Engineering, Aviation Administration or Aviation Management. Someone who is knowledgeable with FAA Advisory Circlers, State Aviation DOT’s and/or have demonstrated experience in airport planning. Work experience and relationships with airports, the FAA, and the consulting community is strongly preferred but not required. Prior experience working in a consulting environment is desirable but not required. Candidate shall demonstrate strong communication skills both verbal and written, ability to work independently, ability to work on multiple assignments concurrently, ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines, ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries from clients, regulatory agencies, and/or members of the business community, maintain cooperative relationships with the public and local/state government employees, prepare and present technical reports, knowledge of current planning issues and trends, plan and organize comprehensive research studies, have Microsoft Office suite skills and ability to travel to airports and meet airport sponsors to discuss project solutions.

Goals and Responsibilities:

  • Regularly Participate/ Lead Client Project Planning/CIP Meetings

  • Coordinate/Participate in project deliveries between the FAA, state review agencies, the Owner, and the Project Manager

  • Manage/Participate in Project Planning Schedules Workload, and financial performance between the Project Manager and Discipline Staff including Team Leaders

  • Be actively engaged in the technical development of Planning deliverables

  • Be actively engaged in the development and mentoring of junior staff

  • Support Planning Growth Initiatives and Business Development as needed

  • Assist in populating Aviation planning opportunity pipeline

  • Assist in Developing marketing strategy for Aviation Planning with Practice Leader

  • Assist in Developing and Leading teaming strategy with other Aviation Consultants

  • Ability to develop Airport Layout Plan per Current FAA SOP

  • Ability to author Airport Master Plan per Current FAA SOP
