Raytheon Technologies Test Engineering Internship in Indianapolis, Indiana

Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) has a Test Engineering Internship available with our Hardware and Infrastructure (HWI) team located in Indianapolis, IN. This position involves

participating in the day to day Test Engineering activities of a manufacturing & depot level repair facility.

Primary responsibilities will include supporting implementation of new production and repair processes for military hardware, providing technical support for assemblers and inspectors working on the production floor, and assisting in the generation of Test technical documents, such as test procedures and process instructions, with the support of subject matter experts

The ideal candidate should have strong academic credentials and experience in working in a team environment, as well as strong interpersonal skills. Key attributes are an inquisitive nature and a strong desire to learn real world applications that compliment your academic experience. Familiarity with hardware or software tools as appropriate for your academic level is also beneficial. The candidate should be interested in working in a highly motivated team environment, collaborating with a small team of engineers through the development of advanced prime mission equipment.

Security Clearance & Other Requirements:



Fundamental engineering skills, including use of bench top test equipment

Ability to interface with persons of multiple disciplines and job functions, including test software engineers, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, program managers, production personnel, and outside vendors

Effective communication skills, both oral and written as well as thorough knowledge of all Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and apply decision making skills with minimal supervision

Basic MS office skills

Ability to work in a process oriented organization

Detail oriented, organized, self-starter, multi-tasker and team player are all required skills for this role

This position requires the ability to access systems that contain information restricted to US Citizens based on certain Federal Government contractual requirements

Desired Requirements:

Programming experience with C++ and/or LabVIEW

Prior work or intern experience is highly desirable

Basic ability in reading schematics and electrical drawings

Background in Analog, digital & RF theory is a plus

Strong problem solving skills with ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome difficult technical challenges

Programming experience with C++ and/or LabVIEW

Experience with academic projects and examples of innovation of new and emerging technologies

Relevant course work

Required Education:

Candidate must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or a closely related field STEM field. A GPA of 3.0+ is strongly desired. Please include your GPA and transcript with your resume.

This position can be Salary Grade ST02, Salary Grade ST03 or Salary Grade ST04 based on the candidate’s qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position for a Summer of 2021 internship.
