Finance Intern Overview:
Finance internships for sophomores offer robust opportunities for students to gain exposure to the organization, leverage key functional skills and make an impact. You will:
Contribute to Lilly’s Finance organization through your work and recommendations on relevant, challenging, business-critical project(s) in areas such as Corporate Audit Services, Corporate Tax, Corporate Financial Reporting and Planning, Treasury, or finance organizations supporting key parts of our Research, Manufacturing, Sales & Marketing, and Procurement operations.
Participate in a case study assessing multiple real world biotech companies for a possible licensing or acquisition offer. This project will provide an opportunity to hone your leadership and teamwork skills, as you research, model and develop a recommendation that you will present to senior Finance leaders.
Involvement in various events, which will provide you with a further opportunity to:
Gain exposure and understanding of the various areas within Lilly’s Finance organization
Build your understanding of Lilly’s growing role in the pharmaceutical industry
Network with Lilly’s Finance leaders, gaining an insight into the “tone at the top”
Further explore the aspects of Indianapolis that make it a top 10 city to start a new career
Actively pursuing one of the following BA degrees: Business-related undergraduate degree with concentration/emphasis in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
Will graduate between December 2020 and August 2021
Language fluency in English (written and verbal)

The internship provides students the unique opportunity to work for 10 continuous weeks in corporate headquarters. Our internship program helps us identify future leaders as well as provides a transparent experience for interns to experience our culture and see the variety of career paths available at Lilly. Completion of 1 accounting course prior to internship
All interns will be considered for full-time positions based on their internship performance
Lilly arranges various intern activities including sporting events, dinners, lunch and learns, etc. to provide opportunities for socializing, professional development, and learning more about Lilly
