Salesforce is looking for an experienced Wordpress Web Developer to join our BT Engineering team. You will be responsible for developing, enhancing & maintaining the salesforce.org website. You must have a solid background in Wordpress, PHP, JS frameworks, and version control solutions.
Responsibilities and Impact:
Provide innovative solutions for the Salesforce.org website as a platform to engage visitors and customers seeking to learn more about what Salesforce can offer to Non-profits & Higher-Ed, and gain knowledge and support as part of their journey into the Salesforce ecosystem
Develop the components and pipelines that are necessary to make up the system our visitors interact with, utilizing Wordpress, standards-compliant HTML5, ES6, CSS3 and Lightning Web Components
Developing the POCs to demonstrate the viability of new ideas and technologies to support the innovation
Present your designs to internal/external groups and review designs of others
Work closely with a team of engineers, product managers, user experience experts, and performance engineers to build new features our customers will love, adopt and use while keeping our trusted platform stable and scalable
3+ years experience with Content Management Systems, especially Wordpress
Working experience with multiple front-end frameworks, such as Angular, Vue, Ember, React, etc.
Working experience with development tools such as Webpack, npm, Yarn, Git
Experience with Wordpress Themes and Plugin development
Mobile web development and responsive web design experience
Experience working on large-scale, complex web applications
Strong understanding of the fundamentals of web page and site performance
Strong understanding of web application security
Strong understanding of object oriented development concepts and MVC
Experience mentoring other engineers
Ability to take ownership of projects and multi-task
Demonstrated ability to communicate technical designs with clear documentation and visualization
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Technology or equivalent experience
Experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC)
Experience building with internationalization and localization in mind
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
Experience with Google Analytics and SEO optimization
Experience writing UI tests using a Selenium based framework
Understanding front-end testing methodologies, test driven development, and associated frameworks (Jest, Cucumber, other related test frameworks a plus)
