Job LocationThe Clinical Documentation Specialist (RN) position is located in Kokomo, Indiana at Community Howard Regional Health, and will cross-cover all locations in the Indianapolis area. Some travel is required.Job DutiesThe Clinical Documentation Specialist (RN) facilitates modifications to clinical documentation through concurrent review of medical record documentation and interaction with physicians and other members of the health team to support that appropriate clinical severity is captured for the level of service rendered to all inpatients.Experience

  • Registered Nurse with a minimum of five years of advanced clinical experience in an acute inpatient setting with extensive knowledge of complex disease processes

  • Critical care experience preferred

Education

  • Prefer Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing; must be graduate of Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education accredited nursing program.

  • Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist or Coding experience preferred.
