Arconic Maintenance Superintendent in Lafayette, Indiana
Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, this position will be responsible for the following: • Safely direct daily maintenance activity efforts, provide technical coaching, and growth of department personnel to achieve and maintain maximum contributions in an injury free workplace. • Supervise and coordinate the maintenance training effort for apprenticeships candidates and journey craftsperson. • Team with internal and external customers to pro-actively achieve the required equipment availability. • Maintain labor and training activities and material cost in the identified data bases. • Communicate maintenance performance to both internal and external customers. • Manage daily payroll time and attendance. • Fill-in supervisor for vacations, weekends and outages. • Supervise and provide coaching and counseling for janitors and material coordinators. • Preferred Qualifications:
• An Associates degree from an accredited institution
• A minimum of 5 years maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment with prior maintenance supervisory experience preferred.
• The incumbent must have good communication skills both verbally and written, good work history and attendance.
• Experienced in “Root Cause Problem Solving” preferred, but not required.
• The incumbent must have basic computer skills and knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
