This opportunity provides learning experiences within our seed research group to participate in corn pathology research and other aspects of our operational and testing activities at inbred and hybrid research sites.


• Participate in seed packaging, planting, pathogen culture, media preparation, field inoculations, pollinating, and note taking

• Organize and participate in field experiments.

• Participate in an assigned project.

• Ensure safety rules are followed at all times.

• Promote a positive image of the company and the research department.

• Other duties as assigned.


• Pursuing an Agriculture focused degree in Plant Pathology, Plant Breeding or Genetics, or related field

• Must have completed Sophomore year

• A strong GPA


• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Excellent organizational and record keeping skills

• Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines

• Strong attention to detail

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong work ethic and attention to detail

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)


• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (if applicable)

• Ability to work extended hours outdoors

• Must have valid driver’s license and meet MVR Requirements

• Occasional overnight travel is possible.
