Job Details:Associates Degree RequiredRN Required PRN - REGISTERED NURSE MINIMUM: One weekend per month, 1 summer holiday and 1 winter holiday The Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit is a 12-bed multidisciplinary 24-hour unit located on the second floor of the hospital. Patients over the age of twelve can be admitted to this unit. The most common types of patients admitted to NSCCU include patients with: cranial surgery, neuro assessments greater than every 2 hours, acute onset seizure activity, potentially life threatening intracranial lesions, acute hypertensive crisis, acute intracranial hemorrhage, post traumatic brain injury, spine injuries/lesions or spine surgical patients, EVD drains, ICP monitoring, triple H therapy, new onset stroke, TPA and acute exacerbation of neuromuscular disorders, disease, acute respiratory failure, acute and chronic renal failure, drug overdoses, cardio-pulmonary arrests, multi system failure, sepsis, and high risk post-operative patients. · Graduate of an accredited school of nursing· Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau.· BSN desirable.· Successful completion of the The Community Healthcare System's Personnel and Nursing Orientation Programs.· Obtains and maintains current certification as required in specialty areas.· Obtains and maintains current CPR certification.
