Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Molding Material Technician maintains correct inventories, takes correct and sufficient amounts of materials to machines, determines which orders to run at a certain time, controls scrap, and monitors and identifies raw material usage variances.

DUTIES INCLUDE

  • Supplying color and resin to assigned machines

  • Maintaining grinders

  • Grinding or disposing of scrap

  • Operating machine in order to give breaks

  • Performing color changes on assigned machines

  • Creating production labels

  • Scanning out color

  • Maintaining the resin silo board

  • Checking color chips for color match

  • Material managements control of scrap and regrind usage

  • Reporting scrap in detail

  • Follows applicable Safety, Food Safety and cGMP policies

QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Basic computer skills and basic mechanical and mathematical skills

  • Organizational and time-management abilities; must have the ability to develop and follow a routine

  • Ability to comprehend a central resin system

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE LEVEL

  • High School diploma or GED required; previous manufacturing and powered industrial truck operating experience strongly preferred

  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record is required

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Effective oral communication skills needed.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
