TEKsystems Desktop And Telephony Support Technician in Seymour, Indiana

Responsibilities:

This person will spend about 70% of their time doing help desk and desktop support, supporting the 800 users in the Seymour, IN location. Additionally they will spend about 30% of their time with telephony support.

Desktop Support: They will support users on the manufacturing floor and office. Support will be over the phone doing basic password resets and in person supporting the users in the plant and office areas. Experience with Office 2010 – 2016, MS O365, Windows 7 and mostly Windows 10 machines. No MAC’s in the environment but they will support printers and assist with onboarding new hires. They use BMC Footprints for their ticketing system but this is not required.

Telephony Support: They have an old Cisco phone environment that’s on its last leg. They would like someone who can help program phones, log into portals and manage their voice system through new phones and extension transfers. They will assist with the build out of new system and the design needs of the facility. They have a 3rd party support w/ VoIP. They will not be doing engineering or design work, just support. They are moving away from Cisco phones to possibly Mitel, Comcast or Cloud based.

They will report to the local Desktop Manager relating to desktop support work and the Infrastructure Manager in NJ/Philly location for Telephony work. They will need to work on site. NOT A REMOTE position.

They will work along side 1 Help Desk person, 1 Systems Admin and the Service Desk Manager. The rest of IT sits in Philly location.

Work hours are either 9-5 or 8-4.

No on call work required.
