Eaton Corporation Material Handler (2nd Shift) in South Bend, Indiana
Eaton’s Vehicle Group North America is currently seeking a Material Handler to join our team. This position is based at our South Bend, IN facility.

You will operate a forklift and other material handling equipment safely and conduct all required maintenance and safety checks.
You will operate a forklift to load and/or unload packages from truck, and safely change forklift batteries or propane tanks as required.
You will perform various Warehouse and shop floor activities, such as cycle counts, shipping/receiving verification & transactions, as well as all corresponding paperwork
You will ensure accurate and timely facilitation & escalation, if needed, of scrap and billet inventory issues.
You will maintain billet pad inventory as specified by FTS Manager
You will replenish all production lines parts and perform any needed Oracle transactions.
You will make sure that all product transported is properly marked and placed in the correct location.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area (within 50 miles) of South Bend, IN will be considered for this position.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Position Success Criteria :
Ability to frequently move and/or lift forgings and dies weighing from 3-36lbs.
Ability to stand or walk the entire shift.
Ability to hear and talk to other teammates while working.
Ability to correctly identify colored buttons on machinery required to run forging operation.
Ability to visually detect quality defects during production.
Ability to tolerate extreme temperature changes, wetness and/or humidity during production operations.
Ability to tolerate noise at a time weighted average of 97 decibels and occasional vibration due to use of tools and equipment.
Ability to tolerate fumes from forge press, forklifts, Tennant Sweeper, welding and cutting operations. Ability to tolerate occasional graphite/water mist from forging operations.
