The Bone and Joint Center of Union Health serves all patients, children to the elderly! There are currently 5 general Orthopedic surgeons, 2 Nurse Practitioners, 2 Hand Surgeons, 2 Surgical Podiatrists, and 2 Non-Surgical Sports Medicine providers who see approximately 4,000 visits each month. We strive to have access for our patients; therefore we offer same day appointments as well as walk-ins. Our providers collaborate with the local high schools and colleges to provide care for all athletes in the Wabash Valley. The Bone and Joint Center is always seeking ways to grow, we are a very busy, fast-paced clinic that is focused on delivering the most compassionate quality of care to our patients. The positive attitude of our staff makes this clinic run efficiently. The staff are very structured and organized, and always prioritize the patient. Job Summary: The role of a License Practical Nurse (LPN) is to lead staff in providing the highest quality of patient care while the patient is at Union Medical Group. The LPN reports to the department supervisor/team lead and will collaborate with coworkers to develop and the implementation of department goals, policies, procedures, and other department guidelines outlined by the department manager.
The role of a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is to lead staff in providing the highest quality of patient care while the patient is in at Union Medical Group. The CMA reports to the department supervisor/team lead and will collaborate with coworkers to develop and the implementation of department goals, policies, procedures, and other department guidelines outlined by the department manager.
Essential Job Duties:
Collaborates with the physician or manager to determine needs of patients
Completes the routine physical assessment using common assessment skills in a systematic manner.
Contributes to plan of care for pre-defined patient problems.
Respects patients' rights, including the right to inform, privacy, confidentiality, and the right to refuse care.
Assists with patient education to promote self-care and patient independence.
Follows company policies and procedures and department protocols.
Assists the physician with special procedures.
Graduate from a one-year Practical Nursing Program
Previous LPN experience preferred
Graduate from an accredited program for Medical Assistants
Previous CMA experience required
BLS certification required
LPN license (LPN Applicant)
CMA/RMA/CCMA certification (CMA Applicant)
